Situation
Penta supports the corporate strategy and growth ambitions of one of Europe’s most innovative Transmission System Operators–TSO–('the client') in a highly regulated sector, subject to intense competition across the European Union and under increasing demand to meet supply security challenges while continuously upgrading infrastructure.
Penta was initially retained to deliver strategic communications and has since then also been engaged to support EU government relations, primary research, and press office support.
Penta plays an ongoing role supporting the client's local development teams, its corporate communications and public affairs teams, and its Executive leadership and Board, across three jurisdictions.
Our Approach
Penta delivers proactive and reactive strategic and tactical support to the client on a wide range of issues, including:
- European Union legislation
- In-market crisis communications
- Geopolitical senior counsel
- Corporate milestones
- Political engagements
We partner with the client to understand their business, their challenges, their peers, their structure, their regulatory operating environment, and their strategic priorities.
Penta acts as their on the ground ‘eyes and ears’ in key markets to ensure there are no gaps in the client's knowledge or limits to their horizon scanning.
Impact
Penta’s integrated work and geographically dispersed team of sector, regulatory, and media professionals has helped inform a cohesive and impactful approach across media and political stakeholders.
Throughout its engagement with Penta, the client has been able to achieve growth during turbulent times for the electricity sector across Europe, while managing to position its operations and messages at the heart of the European debate on sustainability, the future of European electricity markets, security of supply, and grid operations globally.
