Penta Group Announces New Leadership in Ireland, Appoints Chris Mehigan

Penta, the world’s first comprehensive stakeholder solutions firm, has appointed Chris Mehigan as the new head of its Dublin operation. The move is a statement of intent for the 350-strong outfit as it seeks to double down on its position at the forefront of the market for strategic advisory services in Ireland.
Mehigan became a Partner at Penta in January 2023, having supported high-profile corporate clients in the transport and logistics, retail, digital, and energy sectors over the past 15 years. He takes on the leadership of a Dublin-based team that supports clients including Airlines for America, Kraken, and MetLife, leveraging Penta’s unique blend of data-driven strategy and insights as the firm continues to redefine reputation management for global organisations.
The move comes six months after former Taoiseach Leo Varadkar joined Penta as a Global Advisor. At the time, Varadkar said: "In today’s rapidly evolving world, integrating data and evidence into decision-making is more critical than ever.”
Commenting on the appointment, Matt McDonald, CEO of Penta, said: “Chris Mehigan is a powerhouse, and without doubt one of Europe’s leading strategic advisors across a range of highly regulated sectors. Ireland is a strategically important market for the firm as we enter the next phase of our growth, and I am delighted that Chris has agreed to assume the leadership of our outstanding Dublin-based team.”
Chris Mehigan, Partner, added: “It is an honour to take on this new role at the helm of Penta’s offering in Ireland, at a moment of great opportunity for our growing team. Ireland’s forthcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union during the second half of 2026 will present significant opportunities for us to demonstrate our differentiated approach to clients, putting data at the heart of the advice we provide to clients navigating an increasingly complex and uncertain world.”
Mehigan will continue to support his existing clients across the EU and beyond, maintaining his regular presence in Brussels.
The move comes just weeks after the announcement of Los Angeles-based Shamrock Capital’s investment in Penta, which will allow the firm to further invest in its proprietary data, analytics and AI capabilities, and build out its scaled footprint. Penta has an established presence in London and Brussels, in addition to its offices across the United States and Asia.
