Biography
Stephanie Genco is a Managing Director at Penta Group in Washington, D.C., where she advises clients at the intersection of energy, policy, and strategic communications. She brings nearly two decades of experience leading high-impact public affairs campaigns across complex regulatory and political environments.
Most recently, Stephanie served as Senior Vice President of Communications at the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), where she led national messaging and media strategy during a period of significant policy change for the clean energy sector.
Previously, Stephanie led Fortescue’s North American communications function, supporting the company’s investments in green hydrogen and clean energy development. She was also a partner at Forbes Tate Partners, where she led a range of advocacy campaigns, including multi-year planning and brand building for a new trade association, a national crisis communications effort around fast-moving federal legislation, and dual state campaigns to advance transmission projects, including a multi-million-dollar ballot initiative.
Stephanie began her career on Capitol Hill, serving in senior communications roles for multiple Members of Congress, including then-Chief Deputy Whip Peter Roskam (R-IL), as well as two campaign cycles at the National Republican Congressional Committee.
She lives in Washington, DC with her husband, son, and two rescue dogs.
