Biography
Sergiu is a Senior Director at Penta's Brussels office, where he specialises in European industry, energy, and environment policies. He provides tactical regulatory advice, offers guidance on EU decision making processes, and designs and executes public affairs strategies for clients.
Prior to joining Penta in July 2022, Sergiu spent three years in public affairs with the largest non-energy extractive industry. His background also includes experience working in the European Parliament, as well as in diplomatic and private sector roles.
Sergiu holds Master's degrees in European Integration from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and one in Political Science from Université Libre de Bruxelles, along with a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Vienna. Fluent in English, German, and Romanian, and with an intermediate level of French and Dutch, Sergiu brings a deeply international perspective, having lived in several European countries.
