Biography

Scott Haber-Katris is a senior director at Penta advising clients on strategic communications, media relations, and public policy. He leads client teams on a range of policy issues, including technology, financial services, and transportation.

Before working at HPS, Scott was a Communications Director at Internet Association (IA), the then-leading trade association for online websites, services, and apps. While at IA, he worked to establish the association as the industry voice on tech policy issues, such as Section 230, net neutrality, and digital trade. Scott also engaged with regional and national media as a spokesperson, translated complex tech concepts into clear messaging and collateral for key audiences, and carried out integrated communications strategies to advance IA’s policy goals.

Prior to working at IA, Scott was a senior analyst at HPS, where he supported clients and campaigns within the health care, transportation, and trade industries, including the successful effort to reauthorize the U.S. Export-Import Bank in 2015.

A New York native, Scott received his B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Washington University in St. Louis. He now calls Washington, D.C., home.
