Biography
Alysa James is a Washington, D.C. based Senior Director. Alysa is a communications professional with more than a decade of experience in the nation's capital. Her career includes stints in the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate, where she served as Communications Director of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, and at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
Prior to Penta, Alysa's work sat at the intersection of public policy, legislative strategy, and communications. She has led teams and counseled principals across government on policy matters and messaging. She is passionate about leveraging her government experience to support Penta's clients who are navigating dynamic policy landscapes.
A Brooklyn, native, Alysa earned her B.A in Government at Cornell University. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys cooking, reading, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with her partner and their beloved rescue dog.
