Former CNBC reporter Ylan Mui joins strategy practice as managing director;
Ashley Rippey rejoins Penta from Citi as managing director in NYC office
Washington, D.C.—Penta announced today that Ylan Mui and Ashley Rippey have joined the firm as managing directors within the company's strategy practice.

As we continue to grow our talented team in New York, Ashley's experience in the financial sector will greatly enhance our ability to provide expert guidance to our clients."
Ylan Mui comes to Penta's DC office from CNBC, where she served as a senior congressional correspondent covering Capitol Hill, with a focus on fiscal policy. Ylan previously reported for The Washington Post, where she covered the nascent Trump administration, the Federal Reserve, the Great Recession, and the 2008 financial crisis.
Ashley Rippey is joining Penta's New York office from Citi, where she was the Lead Finance Officer to the General Counsel advising on budgetary and strategic finance issues. Prior to Citi, Ashley worked as an investment banker at J.P. Morgan on the consumer/retail coverage team. Ashley spent the first five years of her career at Hamilton Place Strategies.
