Biography
With over 30 years of experience working with, in and for diverse companies and their clients, Felicia Wasson has developed key relationships and skill sets that place her in a unique position of effectiveness.
Felicia was recently named, Managing Director, Strategy at the Penta Group, a one-of-a-kind stakeholder solutions firm, located in Washington, DC, where her leadership fosters strong client relationships and ensures project excellence, supported by a robust strategy and execution framework.
Previously, harnessing a $19M annual investment at Nike, she led initiatives that drove significant social impact. This included a strategic $40M commitment to Black communities, where she orchestrated philanthropic efforts and aligned enterprise goals. Her competencies in strategic leadership and workshop facilitation, enabled her to craft and implement impactful community engagement strategies that resonate across diverse groups and on both sides of the aisle. Felicia is an alumna of the Michigan State Senate, AARP Michigan, Ascension Health and The Coca-Cola Company where she spent portions of her career in the government affairs, stakeholder engagement and corporate philanthropy sections.
Felicia is dedicated to serving her community and encouraging the next generation of leaders and does so through her membership in many organizations, to include: Michigan State University College of Social Science, Women's Leadership Institute, Michigan State University Black Alumni Association, The Links, Incorporated and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
In 2017, Felicia was named the Clifton R. Wharton Distinguished Alumni from the Michigan State University Black Alumni Association, the organization's highest honor. She is a Michigan Chronicle Newspaper 2015 “Woman of Excellence” awardee and is listed in the 2015 edition of “Who’s Who in Black Detroit.”
Felicia is a daughter, sister, mother, aunt and friend. Her proudest accomplishments are her sons, Joshua, Isaiah and Evan.
